1. Number of questions on the test will be reduced: 

- The number of Quant questions will be reduced by 6: from 37 to 31

- The number of Verbal questions will be reduced by 5: from 41 to 36

Update: distribution of questions in GMAT Prep will be: (섹션별 문제 구성)

(a) RC : 13-14 (4 passages)

(b) SC : 12-13

(c) CR : 9-10

(d) PS : 17-18

(e) DS : 13-14

2. The time per question will be approximately the same. 

While GMAC says it will remain unchanged, we have calculated it to be 1.62 seconds shorter for quant 

and 1.42 seconds shorter for verbal:

Quant 
earlier 75x60/37 = 121.62
now 61x60/32 = 120 seconds 

Verbal

earlier 75/41 = 109.75 seconds 
now 65x60/36 = 108.33 seconds 

so 1.42 seconds less per question in verbal

- No Changes to IR or AWA section

- There are some changes to the on-screen instructions that further reduce time used for the test

- GMAT Prep software should be released by April 30th (along with updated Exam Packs)

3. 대응전략 : 

1) 기존 한국인들이 많이 하는 SC위주의 공부방식으로는 고득점달성이 어려워졌습니다.

    문제비중이 제일 큰 RC파트위주의 공부전략속에, SC-CR-RC section을 균형있게 공부할 필요성이 느껴집니다.

2) 36문제 [New GMAT]시스템의 초반부 SC문제는, 해석없이 풀 수 없는 어려운 문제위주로 출제됩니다.

    이에 맞추어 최상위급 SC문제에 대한 집중훈련을 필요로 합니다. 

3) Verbal part의경우 문제당 주어진 시간이 조금 줄어든 점과 SC문제 수의 조정을 감안했을 때,

    조금 더 intensive drilling을 통해 speed-up을 해야 할 필요성이 느껴집니다.
